A Bogalusa man was killed in a two-car crash on Louisiana Highway 21 near Lon Miley Road in Washington Parish.
Louisiana State Police said the crash happened Saturday around 12:30 a.m.
According to police, Gary W. Pittman, 43, of Bogalusa was traveling southbound on LA Hwy 21 at the same time another car was traveling northbound on LA Hwy 21.
For reasons still under investigation, Pittman’s car crossed the centerline into the northbound lane and struck the GMC head-on.
Pittman sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
This is an ongoing investigation.
