A new partnership is bringing financial empowerment to families in the 9th Ward.
Credit Human is joining forces with the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music and Habitat for Humanity to host a free financial literacy workshop aimed at helping residents in Musicians’ Village and the surrounding community.
The interactive event is designed to help attendees break free from paycheck-to-paycheck living by offering simple, effective strategies to manage money, build flexibility into their budgets and reduce financial stress.
Led by experts from Credit Human, the workshop will include a Q&A session that encourages open dialogue about financial challenges and solutions.
Organizers say the goal is to provide long-term tools — not just tips — so residents can make informed decisions and create a more stable financial future. The event is part of Credit Human’s broader mission to support communities in becoming free of financial stress.
The event will be held at the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music, located at 1901 Bartholomew St. in the 9th Ward. It runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on July 26.
