There is a low chance of tropical development in the Bay of Campeche in the Gulf over the next few days, but it’s not expected to directly impact Southeast Louisiana and New Orleans’ weather.
There is storm storm activity that originated in the Northwest Caribbean and has now moved over the Yucatán and is forecast to possibly move over the Bay of Campeche in the far Southern Gulf.
If the circulation organizes and stays over water, further development could happen Sunday or Monday.
Even if some development happens, it is forecast to take a westerly track into Mexico where there will be no direct effects found in Southeast Louisiana and New Orleans.
