The St. Tammany Parish coroner has identified two people who were killed in a shooting last week in Mandeville.
The shooting happened on Jasmine Street.
The coroner identified those killed in the shooting as Amber Allen and Richard Skyles III.
Allen’s cause of death was ruled a homicide, and Skyles was ruled a suicide.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the home and Skyles came out firing shots at deputies.
The sheriff’s office said deputies tried to get him to put down his gun, but he continued shooting.
Deputies returned fire.
The sheriff’s office said Skyles was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he later died.
Deputies went inside the home and found Allen dead.
