A power outage is affecting thousands of residents across Kenner and Metairie, with utility provider Entergy reporting that up to 3,400 customers were without electricity.
Entergy says the outage was caused by a vehicle hitting a utility pole. Crews are on site now, working to make repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
All customers are expected to be restored shortly.
