The Slidell Police Department released body camera footage showing the moment a man was arrested after he was accused of stabbing his girlfriend.
The stabbing happened in the 1300 block of Ninth Street.
The man, identified as Bryant Irvin, 36, is accused of stabbing his girlfriend multiple times in her home.
Irvin ran from the home with the knife, according to Slidell police.
Police say witnesses saw Irvin acting erratically running through the Brugier neighborhood.
Body camera footage shows an officer find Irvin, who surrendered the weapon and was taken into custody.
Irvin was booked into the Slidell City Jail with one count of attempted second-degree homicide.
The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and remains critical, according to police.
