The New Orleans Police Department said it is investigating a fatal hit-and-run that occurred on I-10 westbound near the Downman Road on-ramp.
NOPD sent out the alert early Saturday morning.
NOPD said the incident happened near the Downman Road on-ramp.
Police said the victim was operating his motorcycle in an erratic manner when he lost control and struck the guardrail and was ejected into the roadway.
The unknown vehicle then drove by and possibly struck the victim.
