A change is on the way! A cold front moves through southeast Louisiana Wednesday, bringing a few showers before drier air settles in.
Wednesday: More sunshine ahead
A few showers are possible early, but conditions improve as the day goes on. Clouds give way to more sunshine, with afternoon highs reaching 80 to 83 degrees.
Tonight: A cooler night
You may want a light jacket for your Thursday morning start, especially on the Northshore.
Overnight lows fall to 52 to 53 degrees on the Northshore and 59 to 63 degrees on the Southshore.
Thursday: Sunshine sticks around
Thursday brings plenty of sunshine and lower humidity. Afternoon temperatures reach 79 to 83 degrees, making for a warm afternoon after the cooler start.
Friday: A few showers return
Another weak front brings a chance for showers late Thursday night into Friday. Rain is more likely along and south of Interstate 10, while many areas farther north stay dry.
Weekend: More fall weather
A stronger push of cooler air arrives for the weekend. Saturday highs drop into the low to mid 70s, with another cool night to follow.
Sunday looks cooler, but rain chances remain uncertain. We’ll keep watching how the next system develops and fine-tune the forecast as the weekend gets closer.
