The familiar squares from Boardwalk to Park Place could soon feature New Orleans businesses, nonprofits and landmarks.
Top Trumps USA plans to release a MONOPOLY: New Orleans Edition in November 2027. The company says the game will also have New Orleans-themed Community Chest and Chance cards, along with custom Monopoly money.
The company is asking the public to recommend places and organizations for the board. New Orleans businesses and nonprofits can also contact Top Trumps about being considered for a square.
Recommendations and inquiries can be emailed. Top Trumps representative Sarah Bowman said the company wants the board to reflect what locals and visitors value about the city.
The game is expected to be sold online and in stores, including Barnes & Noble, Amazon and select New Orleans retailers.
