The cooler and drier air has finally arrived, and it will be with us for the entire weekend. Strong high pressure of the wet will bring us windy conditions all day Saturday. There is a wind advisory in effect until 3 p.m. There is also a red flag warning in effect for the North Shore, where it will not only be windy but very dry as well.
The high temperature Saturday will make it to the low-to-mid 70s, but it likely will not feel that warm because of the northern wind. It will still be a bit breezy Saturday night, and morning temperatures will be as cool as the upper 40s on the North Shore. The high temperature will not be that much warmer Sunday afternoon, but with the wind being lighter, it should feel more comfortable.
A warming trend develops next week, as the high temperature should approach 80 degrees by Wednesday, but with the air staying relatively dry, it will still feel very comfortable.
In the tropics, there are no areas of cloudiness that the hurricane center is concerned about, so the tropics should stay quiet for the next seven days.
