The Minnesota Vikings defense proved once again it’s the best unit in the NFL, holding the Saints to just 142 yards and beating the Black & Gold in the Caesars Superdome 23-13.
Tyler Shough passed for 96 yards and threw two interceptions.
Rushing New Orleans could only muster yards 55 yards on the ground.
The Vikings also dominated the time of possession 38:59 to 20:23.
Head Coach Kellen Moore’s team was penalized 6 times, many coming against the offense at crucial times.
The Saints are now 1-4 overall and have lost three straight games. The previous three losses all came at home in the dome in front of the passionate Who Dat Nation.
Born and raised in St. Charles Parish, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had 6 receptions for 79 yards. The Destrehan High School and LSU product also caught a TD pass.
The Saints hit the road next week to face the New York Giants in East Rutherford, New Jersey and then will go straight to France to play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first ever NFL game in Paris.
