LSU fans heading to Lexington this weekend may want to pack a poncho along with their purple and gold!
The Tigers face Kentucky this Saturday at 6 p.m. in Lexington.
Rain could overlap the game
The remnants of Isaias are expected to bring rain into southern Kentucky Saturday afternoon, spreading north as the day goes on. Heavier rain is expected to arrive Saturday evening and overnight.
That timing could mean wet weather during the game and for fans leaving the stadium. The exact arrival time will depend on how quickly the system moves inland.
What fans should know
Much of that region could see up to an inch to 1.5 inches of rain over the weekend. Some parts of central and southern Kentucky could see up to 3 inches. Those are weekend totals, not amounts expected during the game alone.
Gusty winds are also possible. The forecast calls for gusts up to about 25 mph outside southern Kentucky, where stronger gusts are possible.
Fans should bring rain gear, allow extra travel time and check the forecast before heading out. Keep checking with the WDSU First Warning Weather team as the timing becomes clearer.
