Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero is on lockdown after leaders say a threatening phone call was made to the school. JPSO deputies are on scene to investigate.
In a statement to the community, school leaders say they are hopeful this is a prank or hoax but they say they are taking it seriously. They stress everyone is safe and they are asking people to not come to campus. JPSO deputies will give the all-clear.
Academy of Our Lady was also placed on lockdown as a precaution but they stress all students were safe.
