Tropical Depression Nine has formed in the Gulf, and is expected to strengthen into Tropical Storm Isaias this week.

The system is expected to drift eastward before turning north or northeast toward the northern Gulf Coast by the end of the week. Areas being closedly watched include the Louisiana coast to the Florida Panhandle.
Areas from Louisiana to Florida will need to monitor this area closely for further development and possible impacts this weekend.
