The creators of Fried Chicken Fest is adding something extra to their annual event, it’s the inaugural Fried Chicken Fest 5k Run-Walk.
The family-friendly 5k encourages runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages to engage in exercising and fitness before the start of the fest.
Participants will also enjoy a post-5k party inside the festival grounds with free food and drink from several local restaurants before the festival opens to the public.
The 5k is Saturday, October 4th, along the New Orleans Lakefront at 8 a.m., hours before gates open at 11 am for day one of the festival.
