Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly shooting involving a deputy in Terrebonne Parish.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Clinton Street.
Police say a man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene, and a deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries during a physical altercation.
State police are working to process the scene and gather further information.
No information has been provided on whether the man was shot by the deputy.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office says the name of the man and the names of deputies involved are not being released at this time due to the nature of the ongoing investigation.
