Invest 99L has strengthened into Tropical Depression Six located 475 mi southwest of the Azores Islands in the northeast Atlantic.
It’s forecast to become a tropical storm late tonight or by early Sunday morning. If it does, it will be named Fay.
The depression is forecast to continue moving toward the northeast for the next day or so before turning toward the southwest in a couple of days.
It poses no threat to land and will stay out to sea.
