Spotty afternoon storms are possible again Tuesday, with slightly higher rain chances Wednesday. Not everyone will see rain, but keep the umbrella handy.
Winds will also become a little breezier Wednesday and Thursday as a weak front approaches the Southeast and Gulf Coast.
The front should arrive Thursday, lowering rain chances and bringing noticeable humidity relief through Friday. This is not our first true taste of fall. Highs will still reach near 90 degrees, but the heat should feel a little less disrespectful. Some inland areas could even dip into the upper 60s Friday morning!
For now, enjoy this brief “fake fall” preview. There’s no “Gumbo Warning” yet because our criteria are strict! It’s gumbo weather all year, but it hits differently after the first real cold front. We’re still waiting for that one, so stay tuned.
