Labor Day weekend is set to bring thousands to the French Quarter for the annual Southern Decadence celebration.
Decadence is New Orleans largest LGBTQ+ celebration.
The 54th Annual Southern Decadence Parade is on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3 p.m.
The parade will start at the Golden Lantern on Royal Street and make its way through the French Quarter.
This year’s Grand Marshals are Rachel Thompson, Romy Thompson, Bobby Wagstaff, Sam Smith, Milan Nicole Sherry and Sarah Mankowitz.
Ongoing construction in the area has slowed foot traffic, impacting local businesses.
However, some local artists have said they are feeling slight relief as New Orleans begins to see an increase in business after the summer, starting with Southern Decadence this weekend.
New Orleans police have announced traffic restrictions during the event.
Cars will not be allowed to cross Bourbon Street between 4 p.m. and 4 a.m. each day, and no parking zones will be enforced from noon until 6 a.m.
