Heads up! Friday and Saturday are WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Days with localized heavy rain possible. Rain may start earlier around daybreak on Friday in coastal Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi.
Monitoring the potential for localized heavy rain and flash flooding on Friday across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
The catch? This flood risk is very conditional and not a guarantee. WPC has a Level 1 out of 4 for flash flooding on Friday-Saturday.
Storms will likely develop near the coast around daybreak. If they stay offshore, inland impacts should be limited. If they develop near the coast and drift inland, localized rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches could lead to flash flooding.
