Today is a WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day as the entire area is under a Heat Advisory until 8 p.m. today.
Actual high temperatures are expected to reach 93-100 degrees. A few spots on the Northshore could actually reach 100.
Here’s the part that puts us under the Heat Advisory: we’re expecting to feel like 108+ today.
There is now an Extreme Heat Warning for Saturday as temperatures could feel as hot as 112 degrees.
Little to no rain chances are expected as over the next several days, which could add to the chances of us getting more heat headlines in the coming days.
Listen to your body, find shade, take frequent breaks, wear sunscreen, check on the elderly, and always look before you lock your car to make sure no one or pets are left in the backseat.
