As football season nears, the rivalry between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons remains a highlight for fans, and one Saints supporter recently took it to the next level during a visit to Atlanta.
“Just the way things went last year was like nah I cannot let them be in peace this offseason at all,” Justin Parker said.
Parker, a devoted Saints fan, was visiting his mother in Atlanta when he decided to give the Falcons a bold “Who Dat” greeting. His arrival turned heads.
“Security was like hold on y’all know where y’all at right? And I’m like we know where we at,” Parker said.
The reactions from Falcons fans and players were memorable, and Parker’s display of team pride quickly went viral after he posted it on social media.
“I was really surprised and I had all these people reach out to me, can we share your video? Can we do this? Can we do that? That’s love. The city was truly like we’re getting behind him. That’s love right there,” Parker said.
The Saints-Falcons rivalry holds special significance for Parker, whose first Saints game was the “Domecoming” 20 years ago, the team’s first home game after Hurricane Katrina.
“For that to be my first game as a Saints fan, it’s deeply embedded in me. Anytime I fly into Atlanta, I make sure I’m wearing black and gold from head to toe,” Parker said.
When asked if a Falcons fan could pull off a similar stunt in New Orleans, Parker didn’t hesitate.
“The fact that I even got that close, nah. Who Dat Nation would never, ever, ever let a Falcons fan get that close,” he said.
