The New Orleans Police Department is investigating multiple robberies that happened Friday night across the city.
The first robbery happened on Friday around 1:46 p.m. near St. Charles Avenue and S. Carrollton Ave.
Police say the victim was attempting to purchase an item from a business when Adam Pollard, 43, began to follow her.
Pollard has a stay-away order and continued following her, leading to a verbal altercation, according to police.
Following the altercation, Pollard took the victim’s backpack and fled the area before discarding the backpack.
It was later recovered, and Pollard was arrested.
The second robbery happened at a Dollar General in the 4300 block of Woodland Drive in Algiers around 2 p.m.
According to police, two men entered the store attempting to purchase an item.
Once the cashier opened the drawer, the suspect reached over and took the money from the register before leaving the store on foot in an unknown direction.
NOPD says the men were wearing all black clothing and ski masks.
The last robbery happened in the 1200 block of Simon Bolivar Avenue in Central City around 11 p.m.
Police say the victim was approached by two men who demanded the victim’s personal belongings.
Once the victim complied, the suspects fled the area in an unknown direction.
These are all ongoing investigations.
