A tropical wave in the far eastern Atlantic and south of the Cabo Verde Islands could develop as it moves west this weekend and next week.
Some of the models including the AI models are showing this wave possibly developing next week as it moves west.
Another tropical wave will emerge off the west coast of Africa this weekend and some of the models are also developing that one too as it moves west.
However, dry air and strong wind shear is expected to slow any development, especially as it nears the Caribbean by the end of next week.
Tropical activity in the eastern Atlantic typically begins to increase in August. The tropics climatologically begin to heat up starting in late August and continue through early October.
Officially, the National Hurricane Center shows no tropical development is expected over the next 7 days.
