Power has been restored to parts of the Irish Channel after an outage left many families in the dark and in hot homes on Thursday.
At the time, the outage left more than 2,000 people without electricity at its peak.
Power has since been restored.
No word on the cause of the outage but we have reached out to Entergy leaders. They say in a statement:
“Entergy New Orleans crews worked as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to customers impacted by yesterday’s unplanned outage in the Irish Channel. We regret the inconvenience to our customers, and we continue to investigate the cause to prevent future incidents.”
