Suspect arrested after shooting near gas station in Slidell

Slidell Police announce they’ve arrested a shooting suspect after an incident on Pontchartrain Drive Wednesday evening. Detectives say within one hour of the initial call, Slidell Police had the suspected shooter in custody. Within six hours, and with assistance from a neighboring agency, all key individuals involved were in custody.

Police say this remains an active and ongoing investigation. The suspect’s identity has not bene released.

Full details will be released early next week.
