Students and parents seeking help paying for college can get free assistance Wednesday at Delgado Community College’s Sidney Collier site.
The college’s financial aid department will host a community FAFSA Frenzy to help students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid for the 2026-27 academic year.
The FAFSA helps determine whether students qualify for federal financial aid for college. Staff members will assist attendees with the application and other financial aid paperwork.
The event is open to current college students, high school seniors and parents. Organizers say the assistance can help students explore financial aid opportunities and plan for college.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon and again from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 29.
It will take place in Room 115 on the first floor of Building 3 at Delgado’s Sidney Collier site, 3727 Louisa St. in New Orleans.
