With the school year approaching, the Louisiana State Superintendent of Education is urging teachers to crack down on disruptive classroom behavior.
State Superintendent of Education Cade Brumley is urging school leaders to take action against disruptive behavior and bullying.
In a letter sent to school leaders, Brumley called on principals and teachers to stand firm against disruptive behavior.
“Principals and teachers must set clear behavior expectations and consequences,” Brumley said in his letter.
He added that unruly classrooms create a difficult learning environment.
The letter also addressed bullying, stating that all public schools must comply with the state’s bullying laws.
