Alert Day Tuesday due to an Extreme Heat Warning

Today is a WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day to a Heat Advisory in effect for all of Southeast Louisiana and Mississippi.

Expect mostly sunny skies with highs reaching 93-97 degrees, feeling up to 110 degrees at times.

Overnight lows fall to 75-81 degrees.

An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for areas immediately surrounding Lake Pontchartrain Tuesday. Temperatures with reach 93-99 degrees but could feel as hot as 115 degrees!

By Thursday, rain chances enter again and could lower our temperatures to near average in the low 90s. Those rain chances continue into the weekend.
