The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting in Harvey.
Deputies say the shooting happened in the 2000 block of Woodmere Boulevard just before 5:40 a.m.
The first deputy to arrive was confronted by the suspect, who had a gun. The deputy fired his weapon at the suspect multiple times.
The suspect was not hit but was eventually taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.
JPSO says inside of the business, they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect and victim are men.
