The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in Algiers.
Police say the shooting happened just before 8 p.m. in the 3100 block of Eton Street.
According to initial reports, an adult male was transported by private conveyance to a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the foot.
