A Folsom youth pastor was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on Friday.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted another law enforcement agency in the arrest of First Baptist Church of Folsom youth pastor David Mercer, 72, after the execution of a search warrant at a residence owned by First Baptist Church of Folsom.
Mercer was arrested for sexually abusing multiple children during the 1990s.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have yet to come forward.
