Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries rescued two boaters in Plaquemines Parish after they were stranded in Southwest Pass.
LDWF agents were notified on June 25 that a vessel had taken on water and was sinking in the Southwest Pass about 26 miles downriver from Venice.
While en route to the location, they learned that the boat had capsized and the two occupants were able to get to a rock jetty.
Agents were able to locate the two people on the rock jetty and bring them back to the Venice Marina.
LDWF says they did not need medical attention.
The LDWF Enforcement Division will be the lead investigative agency for this boating incident.
