Southeastern graduate student Shelby Bordelon is crowned Miss Louisiana 2026

Southeastern is celebrating one of their graduate students as Shelby Bordelon has been crowned Miss Louisiana 2026.

The Iberville Parish native competed in Saturday’s pageant in Monroe as Miss Port City.

She is no stranger to the stage as she was Miss Southeastern in 2024 and Miss Slidell in 2025.

She plans to use her crown to promote impaired driving prevention after she lost a childhood friend in a crash in 2024.

Bordelon will vie for the title of Miss America 2027 on Sept. 6 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
