A tornado touched down in Jefferson Parish on the Westbank, leaving a trail of debris in Avondale and sparking efforts from the community and organizations to assist those impacted.
“God is good, that’s all I can say,” one resident said.
Members of the Louisiana Southern Baptist Relief Team toured the area to determine what resources are needed to aid recovery.
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief officials said they will bring in a team to assist the homeowner once they evaluate what is needed.
