A likely tornado touched down in Arabi Friday afternoon.
The isolated tornado caused some damage, but according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported.
Rowley Boulevard and Norton Avenue from Judge Perez to St. Bernard Highway is currently closed.
The St. Bernard Parish President tells WDSU that four to five homes had damage.
Damage assessments are underway, with some powerlines down.
St. Bernard Hospital has power, and roughly 1,000 Entergy customers are currently in the dark.
