Arthur’s remnants will go down in the record books. The Weather Prediction Center just released it’s preliminary report from Tropical Storm Arthur.
New preliminary 24-hour rainfall record of 29.06” in Cottonport, Louisiana.
Another reminder that it does not take a named storm to cause devastating impacts.
This new record replaced the record from a tropical depression in 1962 that dropped 22” of rain in Hackberry, Louisiana.
