Post-tropical Arthur brought heavy rain and multiple tornado warnings to Louisiana. Flooding has been reported in its path, causing roadways to become impassable and there have been reports of water entering residents’ homes.

According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet, as of Thursday morning, there have been no reports of damage related to tornado activity. Several areas of Terrebonne Parish are experiencing some flooding, and officials are urging residents to shelter in place until the storm has passed.
Sheriff Soignet said several drivers became stranded as they drove into flooded roadways. There are also isolated reports of water entering homes, as the parish remains under a Flash Flood Warning.
The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that as of early Thursday morning, there have been no reports of confirmed tornadoes despite multiple warnings, and no widespread reports of power outages. The Sheriff’s Office said they received reports of water entering homes in Raceland.
WDSU viewers in Houma have reported fence damage in the Oakwood Drive area.
Streets across Houma and Thibodaux reported widespread flooding after more than seven inches of rain fell an hour.
Suspected damage to centuries-old oak trees was reported on Marconi Drive near City Park in New Orleans.
