Post-Tropical Arthur will bring heavy rain to Southeast Louisiana Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
This comes after the New Orleans Metro has seen rain throughout the week.
Areas like Picayune, Mississippi were also inundated with rain prior to the tropical storm.
There are several rivers on the Northshore that are already at or near flood stage.
In Covington, portions of the Tchefuncte River is at 17.75 feet and is forecast to crest at 26 feet on Thursday.
The Tangipahoa River near Robert is also approaching moderate flood stage, currently sitting at 16.03 feet.
Pearl River at Pearl River is currently at flood stage at 12.23 ft and is forecast to crest at moderate flood stage at 17.50 feet.
According to the National Weather Service, widespread flooding will occur in Westchester Subdivision near Picayune. Many homes, business, and other buildings will be flooded.
Evacuations could also be necessary, and sections of MS Highway 43 will be impacted.
