Today is a WDSU First Warning Weather Alert Day as flash flooding and heavy rain could pound the area today and into the next several days.
On the Northshore, a Flood Watch is in effect for Tangipahoa, Washington and St. Tammany parishes through 7 a.m. Wednesday. Most likely case is 3-6 inches of rain, with the worst case scenario being 10+ inches of rain this week.
With the stalled front and incoming rain from tropical moisture, we are expecting this week to be very unsettled.
While rain chances go up, temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s throughout the week, so slightly below average for this time of the year.
As we near the end of the week, rain chances will go down and temperatures will return to the 90s.
