Massive Attack will return to Australia in August 2026 for their first headline tour in the country since 2010.
In an announcement made Monday, the British group confirmed three arena shows: Brisbane Entertainment Centre on August 6, Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on August 9, and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on August 11. The run marks a rare Australian visit from one of the most influential acts to emerge from the Bristol music scene.
The tour announcement also follows the release of “Boots on the Ground,” Massive Attack’s first new music in six years. The track features Tom Waits and continues the group’s long-running blend of electronic production, dub, hip-hop, soul, and politically aware songwriting.
Formed in the late 1980s, Massive Attack helped shape the trip-hop sound with albums such as Blue Lines, Protection, Mezzanine, and Heligoland. Their live shows are known for heavy bass, stark visuals, and a strong focus on global social and political themes.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 5, with a presale beginning Thursday, June 4.
