A flood watch is in effect until 7 p.m. this evening, but the National Weather Service has issued an additional flood watch that will be in effect Tuesday, and it will include the greater New Orleans area. It goes into effect at 5 a.m Tuesday morning until 7 p.m. Tuesday night. Over the last seven days, many locations have seen over 5 inches of rain and the ground remains very saturated.
Tuesday is expected to be another day or showers and isolated thunderstorms that will move in throughout the morning into the afternoon, and localized flooding is a possibility again.
