Twelve people have been arrested in connection with a narcotics investigation, “Operation Clear Horizon.”
Slidell police say the operation ran from March to May 2026, targeting the distribution and trafficking of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other dangerous illegal narcotics throughout the city.
As a result of the investigation, they seized a significant amount of methamphetamine, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, and MDMA, along with narcotics packaging materials, digital scales, and multiple firearms.
Several firearms recovered were found to be illegally possessed by convicted felons.
Twelve people were arrested on charges ranging from possession of controlled dangerous substances and distribution of controlled dangerous substances to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Slidell police say the following were arrested during the operation:
- 56-year-old Anthony Devoney (Slidell, LA)
- 43-year-old Michael Chappetta (Slidell, LA)
- 50-year-old Joseph Paillot (Slidell, LA)
- 63-year-old Darren Rohrbacker (Slidell, LA)
- 49-year-old Farrel Dupuy (Slidell, LA)
- 53-year-old Louis McCoy (Picayune, MS)
- 61-year-old Jerry Babineaux (Slidell, LA)
- 44-year-old Bobby Elam (Slidell, LA)
- 55-year-old Michael Tavernit (Slidell, LA)
- 28-year-old Bruce Metz (Metairie, LA)
- 36-year-old Beau Brinson (Slidell, LA)
- 35-year-old Skyla Williams (Pearl River, LA)
