The New Orleans Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a deadly shooting in the Seabrook area at the beginning of May.
Police identified Marcus McDaniel, 20, as the perpetrator of the murder, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
McDaniel was arrested around 8:55 a.m. on Thursday on the General De Gaulle Exit of US 90 West by NOPD Homicide detectives.
The shooting happened on May 2, near the intersection of West Laverne Street and Erin Drive.
Police say they responded to a report of a suspicious person around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
When police arrived, they found a man, identified as Nicholas Dent, 25, unresponsive, and he was later pronounced dead.
He is being charged with second-degree murder.
