Fifty students from the Leah Chase School were recognized for their high performance on benchmark tests with a special meal at Dooky Chase Restaurant.
The students also participated in an etiquette presentation at the restaurant as part of the celebration.
“When I looked upon the smiles of the children’s faces, they were excited, their excitement made me excited. This is an experience they may talk about 20 or more years from now,” said Sharon Henry, President of the Big Easy Kiwanis Club.
The event was sponsored by the Big Easy Kiwanis Club.
