A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Franklinton early Sunday.
Washington Parish deputies arrested Michael Martin, 23, after they received a call around 3 a.m. about a shooting off Jamieson Creek Road.
When they arrived at the scene, they found Johnny Slocum, 64, who was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Martin is being charged with second-degree murder.
