The first bits of rain and storms arrive on the Northshore around 2 p.m. By 4 p.m., storms are spreading to the rest of the Northshore and the Bayou Parishes.
By 5 p.m., storms arrive for the River Parishes and the metro. The rain is expected to come to an end shortly after midnight.
The heaviest of the rain is expected to be about 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with impacts including strong to damaging winds and flash flooding.
1-2 inches of rain is possible with localized heavier amounts.
For the Tuesday morning commute, the rain is likely done.
