A tornado touched down in Mississippi Wednesday night, causing severe storm damage across parts of the state.
In some areas, buildings were destroyed, leaving neighborhoods unrecognizable.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency reported that 17 people were injured in the storm, including four in Lamar County.
In Lamar County, a family lost their entire home.
WDSU Northshore Bureau Reporter Shantel Davis spoke to the couple who survived the tornado, but lost everything.
