English brothers Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick overcame tremendous struggles on the back nine in the final round of the Zurich Classic and win the 2026 tournament.
The win is Matt’s 5th victory on the PGA Tour and after winning the RBC Heritage tournament last week, he becomes the first back-to-back winner on the PGA Tour in two years.
Matt could now move from No. 3 in the world rankings to No. 1 overall and he will move No. 1 overall in the FedEx Cup Points race.
For Alex, the victory is more significant. A member of the European Tour, he now has a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour.
The brothers blew a 4-shot lead on the back nine at TPC Louisiana but used a birdie on the 18th and final hole to secure a thrilling victory.
WDSU will have a more complete story soon on the 2026 Zurich Classic.
