The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who may have drowned in the Robert area Wednesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies are working with the Ponchatoula Volunteer Fire Department and responded to a report of a possible drowning.
A man was fishing along the river and walked several feet into the water and was swept away, according to the sheriff’s office.
